How to Play
Receiving Your Hand
One person is chosen to be "dealer" at the begining of the game and given a button to designate them being the dealer. The "dealer" button moves clockwise after each round has completed.
The player to the left of the dealer will be the small blind, the person to their left will be the big blind. If you're familliar with Texas Hold'em, this will sound familliar to you. These two blinds are required to put in a small "bet" at the beginning of each round. Remember that the dealer button moves clockwise each round, as do the big and small blind.
After any antes are put into the pot and the big & small blinds have put in their respective forced bets, the game dealer will deal out 4 cards to each player, face down. Of these four cards, only two can be used for whatever hand the player wishes to play with the communal cards.
Playing and Betting
Once every player has been dealt 4 cards, a round of betting can begin. Players can either check (place no bet), match a bet that has been placed, riase a bet, or fold their hand. Once betting has completed, the flop comes.
The flop is what we call the community cards, which are "flopped" onto the table after the initial betting round. The flop -- also referred to as the community cards -- consists of three cards. Again, another round of betting commences.
If there are still players left remaining after the flop, it is time for the turn comes, which is the fourth community card. Another round of betting comes... At this point, a lot of players are lost as their hope for a good hand deminishes. Fortunately, you have a lucky hand that you're just waiting to slam down on that table, right?
After betting finishes, it is time for the last and final card to be added to the existing four community cards. This last, fifth addition to the community cards is called the river. One last and intesne round of betting is held before the winner is anounced. You, of course!
Remember
You can only use two cards from your hand. Two and only two cards.
